This is a great way to save some major dough and help to raise funds for the Y’s Change-a-Life campaign & Youth Development program. Belk’s four-hour, in-store shopping event provides a chance for customers to support worthwhile charities and take advantage of special discounts on purchases made during the event.
Here’s how it works:
Purchase a ticket for $5 (from the C.W. Cansler Family YMCA, or your local YMCA of East Tennessee).
You must present the ticket to get into the sale from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 6, 2010.
Ticket holders will get merchandise discounts ranging from an extra 15 to 50 percent on purchases throughout the store, including special savings on rarely discounted brands.
Customers will also receive $5 off their first purchase of $5 or more at the event, and Belk cardholders will receive double Rewards points for card purchases.
Our Y will sell the Charity Sale tickets in advance of the event and all proceeds from each $5 ticket sold will be retained by the YMCA of East Tennessee.
“On the morning of the event, the first 100 customers in each store will receive free Belk gift cards ranging in value from $5 to $100, and a chance to win one of three $1,000 Belk gift cards being awarded company-wide. In addition, all participating charities and schools will be automatically registered to win one of three $1,000 donations from Belk in a company-wide drawing.”
50% of the tickets sold will go towards the Y’s Change-a-Life campaign and the other 50% towards Youth Development.
