12 Ways to Improve Heart Health with the Y:

Choose 5 of the 12 suggestions below and take steps every day to work toward a healthy heart!

  1. Attend a BODYPUMP Class at the Y.
  2. Try a Sprint 8 workout on a Matrix cardio machine (treadmill, elliptical, recumbent bike). Sprint 8 is a high-intensity interval program that takes only 20 minutes and is GREAT for your heart!
  3. Bring a friend to the Y. Accountability leads to sustainability!
  4. Attend 1 of the 4 Tennova Healthcare Heart Health presentations at the Y. Dates and times TBA soon.
  5. Sign up for Personal Training at the Y.
  6. Complete at least 2 cardio workouts per week.
  7. Get 8 hours of sleep each night.
  8. Visit the Y at least 3 times per week.
  9. Get your blood pressure checked.
  10. Cook at home at least 3 times per week.
  11. Post a picture of yourself working out at the Y. Tag us!
