A year ago, Mary entered our Y’s Diabetes Prevention Program. What happened in that year? Play this short video for Mary’s story.
I knew something had to give. I was overweight, I didn’t exercise and my doctor told me I would most likely develop diabetes if something didn’t change. Fortunately I joined a program that helped me make healthier choices like eating better and being more active. The group experience was really inspiring. We dealt with challenges many of us were facing and shared ideas on how to overcome them. The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program was like a wake-up call that really changed my life. – YMCA Member, Mary
