Kid Fit

Kid Fit is a drop-in/drop-out program for kids ages 7-13 while parents work out.  Our instructors use games and activities to teach fitness, nutrition, and social responsibility.

Class Descriptions

 

AQUA BOOT CAMP – (POOL) This higher intensity class is designed to improve cardio conditioning, alternating with strength/balance and core training segments.  Water exercise is an excellent modality for cross training and gives knees and backs a break from land-based cardio workouts.  Non-swimmers are welcome, flotation belts are available, and participants have the choice of working in shallow water as well as deep water.

AQUA ZUMBA® – (Pool)  safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.

AQUABATA – (Pool) low impact, high intensity interval training in the water.

BODY BLAST – (Gym) This class offers a full body work out improving cardiovascular health, muscular strength & endurance.

CARDIO FUSION – (Gym) a blend of exercises to help improve overall cardiovascular health & muscular endurance such as step, kickboxing, circuits, etc.

CONDITIONING KICK – (Gym) cardiovascular conditioning & muscular endurance through kickboxing moves

DEEP INTENSITY – (Pool) 45 min deep water workout that consists of cardio, core, & strengthening exercises with no impact on your joints. It’s perfect for pregnant women, those with joint discomfort, & those who may be recovering from injuries or surgeries. It’s also a great workout for anyone at any age. Swimming skills are not necessary to participate in this or any water aerobics class but you should be comfortable in deep water.

GROUP POWER® – (Gym) Group Power® is YOUR HOUR OF POWER!  Blast all your muscles with this high-rep weight training workout.  Using an adjustable barbell, weight plates, and body weight, Group Power combines squats, lunges, presses, and curls with functional integrated exercises.  Dynamic music and a motivating group atmosphere will get your heart rate up, make you sweat, and push you to a personal best!  POWER UP!

HIT IT – (Gym) 1 hour class will challenge the body with Tabata Training & Circuits.  It will improve your overall muscular strength & endurance.

LEBARRE – (The Garage) Dance inspired conditioning combined with balance, agility, resistance, working recovery, and eloquence to make a challenging full body workout. Power LeBarre – 2lb-5lb weights added for strength & power.

PILATES – (The Garage) series of nonimpact exercises to develop strength, flexibility, & balance. This class focuses on core stability.

SPIN – (Upstairs Spin Studio) group cycling led by an instructor. This 45 min cardiovascular class utilizes the spin bike for a great overall work out!

TAI CHI – (The Garage)  increases flexibility, muscle strength, and mental activity, heart/lung capacity, aligns posture, improves balance, and integrates the mind and body. It’s great for those with arthritis.

 TOTAL DEFINITION – (Gym) this class offers a full body work out improving cardiovascular health, muscular strength & endurance through weight training & body weight exercises.

 ULTIMATE FIT– (The Garage /Outside) this fun, yet high intensity functional & non-conventional training class uses unique exercises & techniques to take your endurance & strength to the next level. 45 minutes

 YOGA – (The Garage) This class fully integrates a mind body workout & is designed to help improve strength, tone, flexibility, & balance

 ZUMBA® – (Gym or Upstairs Yoga Studio) This fun fitness experience improves cardiovascular & core strength with a taste of salsa!

**Kids may take Zumba with direct adult/parent supervision**

Active Older Adult Class Descriptions

SilverSneakers® CLASSIC – (GYM) Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.

MOVIN’ & GROOVIN’ (GYM)
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.

SilverSneakers® YOGA (GYM)
You will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

AQUACIZE (POOL)
Activate your aqua urge for variety! Aquacize offers lots of fun shallow-water moves to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required, and a kickboard may be used to develop strength, balance and coordination. Handheld water weights & noodles may also be used to develop strength and cardiovascular endurance.

AQUABATA (POOL) This low impact, high intensity interval training in the water will burn calories like crazy & help overall endurance.

ZUMBA GOLD® (GYM) This class is the perfect fit & the right choice for those just starting their journey to a fit & healthy lifestyle & for the active older adult. It’s a dance class that feels friendly, & most of all, fun! It offers modified dance moves while bringing down the pace. You’ll move to zesty Latin music, like salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggae ton; making this class fun & exhilarating!
