If you are looking to get your children aged 6 and up involved in giving back to the community, come check out our West Side Y’s Youth Volunteer Team during our Child Watch hours. While you are working on your health and fitness, our Child Watch staff will be taking your kids around our facility to give them a chance to give back.
Youth Volunteer Team
From helping our staff in Child Watch play with little ones, to working on our small garden or keeping our facility clean for all members, we have ways for older kids to get involved. It’s a great way to teach them to help out and care for others!
For every 5 hours of volunteering, kids will earn a prize! Youth Volunteers will also be recognized on our “Helping Hands Volunteer Board” in our new Child Watch center. Kids may volunteer a maximum of 2 hours per day.
- Mondays-Fridays 7:30am-1pm & 4:30-8pm
- Prizes: THANK YOU to our community partners who have offered prizes for our youth volunteers!
If you own or operate a local kid-friendly business and would like to donate products or gift cards to our volunteer prize box, please contact West Side Y Child Watch Coordinator Lyss Feehery at [email protected].
Our Youth Volunteer Team will take off the month of August to settle into a back-to-school routine, but we’ll be back in September with new ways for our kids to give back and new prizes to recognize their service!
