Social Connection
Program Overview
At the Y, you’re a part of a community that gives children, families, and individuals the support and resources they need to be healthy, confident, and connected. Social connection is an important part of everyone’s overall health and well-being. In fact, social connection can push your happy meter up, lower anxiety and depression, and make sure that you aren’t feeling alone for the ups and downs of life. With activities for all ages and interests from volunteering to book clubs, find a group at the Y to help you connect with friends and neighbors.
Bridge Club – Davis Y
Join a bridge game to connect with friends and neighbors at the Y! Although new and beginner players are welcome, this is not an instructional “learn-to-play” group. Please be familiar with the basics to join a game. Bridge meets weekly for some friendly competition and conversation.
Book Club
Join a book club at your local Y. Book club gives Y members and book lovers a chance to connect with their Y community, read something new, and discuss ideas and themes found in the month’s selected book. Find a book club at your Y and join the discussion!
