Since 1854, the Knoxville Y has been a cornerstone of our community. We are a community leader who supports children, adults, and families in their quests for physical, emotional, and social wellness. We are committed to building strong and healthy-minded children, individuals, families, adults, and communities through our programs and services that promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
As one of the area’s leading non profits, your membership will help bring about meaningful change in our community, as well as your own life. In addition to the wide range of classes and programs available to each member, we also have financial assistance for those that can’t afford a membership.

*Household Membership is defined as any 4 adults and their dependents residing at the same address. The Y reserves the right to verify addresses for every person listed on the membership. Additional adults residing in the residence may be added to the unit for $20 per month each.
**Single Parent Household is defined as one adult and their dependents residing at the same address. The Y reserves the right to verify addresses for every person listed on the membership. Single Parent Household Memberships are not limited to single parent families.

Financial Assistance Available
The YMCA is committed to serving the entire community. Through our financial assistance program, qualified individuals and families are granted financial assistance to enable participation and membership. To apply for financial assistance:
- Download our Financial Assistance Form or pick one up at your local Y
- Return the application to your Y with proof of income (tax return/1040 form, SSI statement, Food Stamp documentation, Child Support documentation, etc.)
- All assistance is granted for 12 months, at which time recipients are welcome to reapply with updated proof of income
