Program Overview

The Y’s strength training classes help build strong and healthy bodies at all fitness levels.  While these classes offer a variety of moves, each class will focus on strength and muscular endurance.  Strength training develops lean muscle mass, which allows your body to burn fat and calories more easily and can help with maintaining a healthy weight.  Strength training also improves balance, increases bone density, and improves joint stability, all of which will help you avoid injury for your active lifestyle.
